Gloria J Covington is a Baltimore-based artist, musician, composer, producer and talented songwriter. She writes Contemporary Christian, Gospel, Inspirational and Pop songs which are influenced by a fusion of music genres. Her lyrics express messages of hope and reflection derived from her faith and life experiences. Her sound is magnified by her soulful vocals. In her recordings, she sings both lead and skillfully sculpted background vocals. She sang background in the group, For Your Glory, with Grammy Award winning and multi-Dove Award winning Chris Tomlin, during the Love Runs Red Tour at George Mason University’s Patriot Center. As a solo artist, Gloria J Covington performed for Maryland/Delaware Southern Baptist Conventions. She also performed at the Nathanson Latin Missions Fundraising Banquet which was broadcast live to several South American churches. She passionately composes emotion-based Production Music (Instrumentals and Trailers) for Film and TV. She has a love for Orchestral, Hybrid-Orchestral, Cinematic and World (International) Music which are influenced by a variety of music styles including Hip Hop, Trap and Tension.
Gloria is a member of TRIO MUSIC, an international group of composers, who cooperatively compose and produce albums of predominantly Trailers.
She is a performing electric guitarist and plays in her church's Praise band. She also plays acoustic guitar and keyboard for recording/production purposes.
She has shared her talents at churches, festivals and public events.
Gloria collaborated in writing the song entitled "Box Me In", which had a placement in the film "Murmur" (2024), released on Amazon Prime.
